- Launch the PayMaya app. Ensure that you have a fully verified PayMaya account to continue with the transaction.
- On the upper part of your screen, click Add Money.
- On the list of Add Money Partners, choose Western Union.
- Input the 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) provided to you by the sender.
- Review the details you have provided and click Receive on the Confirmation page.
- Wait for the confirmation in the app and through SMS, displaying the receipt and success of your remittance transaction.
You can claim up to P100,000 remittance per transaction in PayMaya, subject to the wallet’s monthly transaction limit of P100,000.

How to verify your PayMaya account?
A fully verified PayMaya account allows users to enjoy the app’s features. It is also required to access the Add Money services to claim your Western Union remittance via PayMaya. So if you don’t have a fully verified PayMaya account, follow these steps:
- Launch the PayMaya app and log in to your account.
- On the menu, click UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT.
- Fill out the necessary information.
- Upload one valid Primary ID or two valid Secondary IDs. Also, ensure that ID details match the information on the Upgrade Application form, including your Name and Birthday.
- Record a 4 to 5-second video selfie and submit.
- Double-check your application details and click Submit.
- After the application, wait up to 24 hours to receive an SMS confirmation indicating a successful upgrade of your account. A green verified checkmark will also appear beside your profile icon and name.

How to cash out your Western Union remittance in PayMaya?
After claiming your Western Union remittance in the PayMaya app, you can transfer it to your online banking accounts, pay your bills, or shop online. But if you want to claim your Western Union remittance and cash it out, follow these steps:
Via Maya card
- Head to an ATM accepting Mastercard or VISA withdrawals.
- Insert your Maya card.
- Choose Saving and enter the preferred withdrawal amount.
- Enter your Maya card Pin and claim your cash and receipt.
Via Smart Padala
- Go to a Smart Padala agent and ask for the 16-digit account number.
- Launch the PayMaya app and click the Send Money button.
- Enter the Smart Padala agent account number.
- Enter the amount to cash out and click Continue.
- Double-check the transaction details and click Send.
- Claim your cash out to the Smart Padala agent by providing one valid ID, reference number, and your smartphone to prove the transaction.
PayMaya cash out is only available through Smart Padala since 7-eleven stores only provide cash-in service.
