What is a Postal ID?
Referred to as the Postal ID, the Postal Identity Card is considered a valid government ID that the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) issues. Who can get a Postal ID?
All Filipinos are qualified to get an Improved Postal ID, whether minor or senior citizens. Filipinos who are also residing abroad can get an Improved Postal ID, but they should be in the Philippines during the application. In addition, Foreigners can get an Improved Postal ID if they’re residing in the country for at least 6-months.
What are the requirements to get a Postal ID?
When applying for a Postal ID, ensure that you have filled out the required application form before going to the nearest post office. Also, bring the original and photocopy of the following requirements for verification:
For Filipino Applicants
- Two copies of the duly-accomplished PID application form
- Any of the following Proof of Identity:
