What is ShopeePay?
ShopeePay is an e-wallet accessible by Shopee users that they can top up or use to store money from refunds. Like other e-wallets, ShopeePay is a payment method that users can choose when purchasing through Shopee or paying for offline deals.
Aside from convenient shopping, ShopeePay allows fund transfer to other ShopeePay wallets and withdrawal by linking your bank account to your ShopeePay. If you’re regularly shopping with Shopee, paying with ShopeePay will also give you access to exclusive promos and vouchers.
How to activate ShopeePay?
But before you can pay bills using ShopeePay, the first thing you need to do is to activate your in-app wallet by following the steps below:
- Launch the Shopee app and log in.
- On the homepage wallet bar, click ShopeePay. If ShopeePay is not appearing on your account, uninstall and install the Shopee app to update its features.
- Click Set up ShopeePay and fill out the required personal details. Also, remember the PIN you entered since it’s the PIN you’ll use to authorize payment.
- Tick off the Terms and Conditions box and click Next.
How to pay bills using ShopeePay?
As of now, bill payment on Shopee is only possible through ShopeePay, and if an error occurs during a transaction, users should contact their biller or contact Shopee customer support. To pay bills using ShopeePay, follow the steps below:
- Launch the Shopee app and log in.
- Ensure that your ShopeePay has money, or click Top Up to fund your wallet.
- On the dashboard, select Load, Bills, & Services Product Module.
- Under the bill categories, choose if to pay Electricity, Water, Landline & Internet, Postpaid Mobile, TV Cable, Loans, Toll, or Government services.
- Select a Biller.
- Fill out the necessary details such as the Account Number, Identifier, and Amount to pay. Then, read the Reminders and click Continue.
- On the Checkout page, choose ShopeePay on the Payment Option and click Confirm.
- Double-check your transaction details and click Pay Now.
- Enter your payment authorization PIN to complete the transaction.
