Adapting to the advancement of technology, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) made some of its major services available online (i.e. licensure exam application, registration and renewal of license/PRC ID) through its Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS).

Through this portal, it will save thousands of applicants and professionals of the time and effort of personal visiting the PRC branches. Here’s a quick yet thorough guide in applying for PRC licensure exam online.

PRC Online Registration Requirements

To create an online account, you should have the following:
a. Active e-mail address;
b. Active mobile number;
c. Provision of educational attainment and employment information;
d. Latest one (1) 2×2 ID photo in .JPEG format (the applicant should be wearing a collared-shirt in a plain white background); and
e. At least one (1) valid Government Issued ID

PRC Online Registration Steps

After ensuring that you have with you above-mentioned requirements, you can proceed to the following steps:
1. Visit the PRC website (online.prc.gov.ph);
2. Upon reading the terms of service, click the I Agree button;
3. Provide the personal information as written in the Notice of Admission (NOA) or PRC ID;
4. Enter e-mail address and password. Make sure to input strong password to avoid hacking of sensitive information you’ve initially provided;
5. Review all the information you have provided before clicking Register;
6. You may now login to your account using the credentials you’ve previously indicated;
7. Go to the Profile tab and start filling out the information requested (e.g. contact details, family, education, and employment background, as well as valid ID). After which, click Save Information; and
8. Upload the 2×2 photo.

PRC Online Exam Registration Steps

Now that you have successfully created your account, you may now proceed in applying for a licensure exam.
1. Sign in to your PRC online account and choose Select Transaction.
2. Choose Examination and input the Name, Type, Date, and Place of Examination.
3. Click Proceed and choose an exam appointment by choosing your desired PRC Regional Office.
4. The portal will give you the selected appointment date and time. Click Proceed if you are settled with the schedule and click Reschedule and choose your preferred date and time and state the reason for rescheduling.
5. If satisfied, click Confirm.
6. A summary of transaction will appear on the screen. Click Submit to save the transaction.
7. Choose your preferred mode of payment before clicking Submit.
8. Read the transaction details and payment summary before clicking the agree button of the Terms and Conditions.
9. Input the ATM account number and Joint Account Indicator (it is the two (2) digit number at the lower right corner of the ATM card)
10. Click the ATM PIN on the PIN pad and click Submit.
11. Select OK to confirm the payment before printing the confirmation slip.
12. Do not forget to sign the form upon printing.

How To Pay For Your PRC Licensure Exam

Here are the payment channels that you may choose from in paying your licensure exam:
a. PRC-CASHIER – On the day of your appointment, proceed to the cashier of the selected PRC office. As of last December 2019, the licensure examination costs PHP 900.00.
b. LANDBANK – To pay through Land Bank, you will be directed to the LBP ePayment Portal and will be provided with three (3) payment methods: Land Bank ATM, BancNet or GCash
c. UCPB – The United Coconut Planter’s Bank accepts payments for PRC exam application, PRC ID renewal, and initial registration.
d. Credit/Debit Card – Just recently, PRC, also allowed payments made through credit or debit card via PayMaya. A 1.25% convenience fee will be added to the total amount of payment to be incurred.
e. PayMaya – For PayMaya users, you may also easily pay your PRC renewal fee through your PayMaya wallet with a convenience fee of PHP 8.00.

PRC Licensure Examination Requirements

Upon filing your online application and payment, you may now submit your application form alongside other requirements on the date of your scheduled appointment. Other requirements depend on the profession as follows:

Accountancy

    • Post-graduate Diploma in Environmental Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, City Planning, Town and Country Planning and/or Human Settlements Planning with at least one (1) year on-the-job training, as required under R.A. No. 10587.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, City Planning Town and Country Planning and/or Human Settlements Planning, or it’s equivalent, and with two (2) year on-the-job training, as required under R.A. No. 10587.
    • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in either Architecture, Engineering, Ecology, Economics, Geography, Geology, Social Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources Planning, or other related disciplines acceptable to the Board, and with five (5) years of on-the-job training.Applicable only until June 21, 2018. The on-the-job training required in this Section shall be undertaken under the supervision of the applicant’s immediate supervisor, in an agency or organization engaged or involved in environmental planning functions or programs, as may be determined by the Board.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in either Architecture, Engineering, Economics, Public Administration, Law, Social Work and Community Development or Sociology or other related disciplines acceptable to the Board, and with five (5) years of 0n-the-job training. Applicable only until June 21, 2018. The on-the job training required in this Section shall be undertaken under the supervision of the applicant’s immediate supervisor, in an agency or organization engaged or involved in environmental planning functions or programs, as may be determined by the Board.

*Foreign citizens applying for the licensure examination shall submit the following documents:

  • Copy of the pertinent provision/s of the foreign law or international agreement on the reciprocity for the practice of environmental planning;
  • Certificate of Live Birth, Marriage Contract for married female applicants;
  • College Diploma and Transcript of Records, and Certificate of Equivalency issued by the CHED, in case the degree is obtained abroad; and
  • Certificate of Good Moral from any of the following: Barangay, Church, School, or Employer. All documents issued/executed abroad shall be duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate stationed in such foreign country, accompanied with the official English translation thereof, whenever applicable
