Victory Liner is a famous bus company in the Philippines, offering transport services in Manila, Central Luzon, and Northern Luzon. It’s known for its orange, red, and yellow buses with decades of experience, making it one of the most reliable and trusted bus companies.
For those heading north, Victory Liner has plenty of bus terminals in the metro, servicing routes up to Aparri. So if you’re on a leisure trip or visiting your hometown, read on as we share the list of Victory Liner bus terminals and other details whenever traveling with this bus company.
History of Victory Liner
Before Victory Liner became what it is now, Jose I. Hernandez, its founder, initially planned to build a delivery truck for his family business. Hernandez is a pre-war mechanic who collected fragments of machinery, spare parts, and metals from deserted U.S. military vehicles.
His family sells homemade laundry soap, vegetables, corn, and rice. But after building the truck, it looks more like a bus than a delivery truck. Thus, he drives his first-ever bus accompanied by a conductor, his brother-in-law, Leonardo D. Trinidad, serving routes from Manila to Olongapo.
Since its founding in 1945, Hernandez’s bus company emerged as one of the main modes of transport for passengers heading to and from Manila and Central Luzon provinces. Afterward, its subsidiary and now sister company was born, the Pangasinan Five Star Bus Inc.
On this day, Victory Liner is acknowledged as one of the largest bus companies in the Philippines, boasting over 900 bus units in service.
