How to Use Your GCash e-Wallet in Online Shopping Sites (Lazada, Shopee, Zalora)

With all the time we spend cooped up in our homes, many of us have become victims of the online shopping craze. How can you resist when you can buy almost anything you can think of, and the payment transaction is completely hassle-free? If you have a GCash account, you can go and pay for your purchases in a breeze, with only a few taps to complete the transaction.

Here we show you how to use your GCash e-wallet in three of the largest online shopping sites in the country: Lazada, Shopee, and Zalora. You can choose to pay using Direct Pay, using your GCash Mastercard, or even directly from the GCash app (for Lazada only).

Via Direct Pay

GCash has partnered with some of the biggest online merchants in the country, including Lazada, Shopee, and Zalora. GCash is one of the payment methods for these merchants, so you can pay for your purchases directly using your GCash wallet. This is the easiest and fastest way to use GCash for your purchases. 

Lazada

  1. On the Lazada app, proceed to check-out.
  2. When prompted to select a payment method, choose “GCash e-Wallet” from the list of options.
  3. On the next page, read a few reminders for using GCash, and tap “Pay Now”.
  4. You will be redirected to the GCash landing page to process your transaction. Enter your GCash-registered mobile number and 6-digit authentication code sent to your number via SMS.
  5. On the next page, log in to your account by entering your 4-digit MPIN. Tap “Next”.
  6. Confirm your transaction, and tap “Agree and Pay” to proceed with the payment.
  7. If all is well, a confirmation of your payment will be shown on the next screen. You will also receive an SMS for the successful payment.

Shopee

  1. On the Shopee app, proceed to check-out.
  2. When prompted to select a payment method, tap “Remittance/Payment Center”. Choose Gcash from the list of options. Tap “Confirm”.
  3. Enter your email address, and then tap “Pay”.
  4. You will be redirected to the GCash landing page to process your transaction.  Enter your GCash-registered mobile number and 6-digit authentication code sent to your number via SMS.
  5. On the next page, log in to your account by entering your 4-digit MPIN. Tap “Agree and Pay”.
  6. If all is well, a confirmation of your payment will be shown on the next screen. You will also receive an SMS for the successful payment.

Zalora

  1. On the Zalora app, proceed to check-out.
  2. When prompted to select a payment mode, choose GCash from the list of options. Tap “Continue to Order Review”.
  3. Once you’ve reviewed and placed your order, you will be redirected to the GCash landing page to process your transaction. Enter your GCash-registered mobile number.
  4. You will receive an automated SMS asking to reply with your 4-digit MPIN within 5 minutes.

A transaction fee of Php 1.00 from Dragonpay – GCash will be deducted from your GCash wallet.

  1. Once you’ve sent your MPIN, you will be redirected back to the Order Confirmation page. A confirmation that your order has been placed will be shown on the next screen. You will also receive an email and SMS for the successful payment.

Via GCash Mastercard

 At times when the GCash Direct Pay method is unavailable, you can still use your GCash e-wallet for payment by using your GCash Mastercard. Just select Credit/Debit Card as your payment method, and input your card’s details to proceed with the transaction. Read how you can apply for a GCash Mastercard. 

Via the GCash app (Lazada only)

Right from the GCash app, you can access a Lazada Mini Site so you can shop and pay directly from your GCash dashboard. The Mini Site is currently limited to Lazada Flash Sale items only. 

  1. Open and log in to your GCash account on your mobile phone.
  2. From the GCash dashboard, tap on the Lazada Icon. If it’s not on your dashboard, you can find it under “Show More”.
  3. You will be redirected to the Lazada Mini Site on GCash. Only Lazada Flash Sale items are currently available on the Mini Site.
  4. Proceed to check-out.
  5. For the payment method, tap on “GCash e-Wallet”.
  6. On the next page, read the few reminders for using GCash, and tap “Pay Now”.
  7. If all is well, a confirmation of your payment will be shown on the next screen. You will also receive an SMS for the successful payment.
