How Can I Pay Pag-IBIG Online?

Are you a member of the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), more commonly known as Pag-IBIG? This is a Philippine government corporation that offers housing loans, short-term loans, and other services. Initially, members included employees in the public and private sectors, although recently, self-employed persons, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and voluntary members have been included as well.

Benefits of Pag-IBIG Fund Members

As a Pag-IBIG Fund member, you can apply for a low-interest Housing Loan when buying real estate property and/or building a house. Likewise, you can apply for a short-term loan, of which there are two types: Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL), which can be used for minor house repairs, health, education, and livelihood purposes; and Calamity Loan, which is offered to members affected by unforeseen calamities such as floods, fires, and typhoons.

Moreover, your contributions become part of your savings under Pag-IBIG Fund’s Regular Savings Program. Savings can be withdrawn after 20 years (equal to 240 monthly contributions) or upon retirement. You can also opt to join the Modified Pag-IBIG 2 (MP2), which is a voluntary savings program that involves higher dividend rates than the regular program.

Where to Pay Pag-IBIG Contributions

If you are a “formally-employed” member, then it is your company or employer who remits your membership contributions to Pag-IBIG. On the other hand, if you are self-employed, an OFW, or a voluntary member, you’ll have to take care of it yourself. Fortunately, there are several payment options available, including over-the-counter and online payment facilities.

Over-the-counter payments may be done in banks, such as Landbank of the Philippines (LBP), United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (MBTC), which is better known as Metrobank. Similarly, you can make over-the-counter payments to “non-banks” like SM Business Centers, M. Lhuillier branches, and CIS Bayad Centers.

Thanks to digital technology, you can also pay contributions through Virtual Pag-IBIG, a platform that enables members to access Pag-IBIG services online. You can also try using PayMaya, which is a digital wallet that includes payment of government contributions, among other services. We have outlined the steps for using Virtual Pag-IBIG and PayMaya below.
