What is GStocks PH?

GStocks PH is an online retail securities trading service from AB Capital Securities, Inc (ABCSI), which can be accessed via the GCash app. With the online platform of ABCSI, GCash users can now become investors, allowing them to manage, buy, and sell securities from the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) listed companies.

Requirements

Like other services in the app, GCash users should meet the following requirements, so they can sign up and start investing in GStocks PH:

  • Should be at least 18 years old and above
  • Should be a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines
  • Should be a fully verified GCash user
  • Should have updated GCash details in the past two (2) years
  • Should have at least one (1) valid government-issued ID

But you can still sign up for an AB Capital Trading Wallet if you’re not a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines, given you meet the following requirements:

  • If you’re not a Filipino resident, such as OFW and seaman, submit your Social Security Number (SSS) and Taxpayer’s Identification Number (TIN).
  • If you’re a Foreigner, submit your passport as a valid government ID.

How to invest in stocks using GCash GStocks PH

Before you can actually start investing in stocks using GCash GStocks PH, you should create an AB Capital Trading Wallet and answer the Risk Profile Questionnaire. Then, follow the steps below on how to invest in stocks using GCash GStocks PH:

How to buy stocks via GCash GStocks PH

  1. Launch the GCash app.
  2. Login to your account by typing the 4-digit MPIN.
  3. Tap GInvest on the home page.
  4. Choose GStocks PH on the pop-up options.
  5. Select AB Capital Securities, Inc (ABCSI).
  6. On the ABCSI online platform, click the Buy/Sell button.
  7. Choose the stocks you want to buy and click the Buy button. 
  8. Enter your preferred number of shares and click the Preview Order button.
  9. Before confirming, review the order details and click the Place Order button.
  10. At the bottom of your screen, click the Orders tab to see the history page and check the status of your order.

How to sell stocks via GCash GStocks PH

  1. Launch the GCash app.
  2. Login to your account by typing the 4-digit MPIN.
  3. Tap GInvest on the home page.
  4. Select GStocks PH on the pop-up options.
  5. Tap AB Capital Securities, Inc (ABCSI).
  6. Click the Buy/Sell button on the ABCSI online platform.
  7. At the bottom of your screen, click the Portfolio tab.
  8. Choose the stocks you want to sell and click the Sell button.
  9. Enter your preferred number of shares and tap the Preview Order button.
  10. Review the order details and click the Place Order button to confirm your transaction.
  11. Go to the Orders tab to check your order status and transaction history.
