Cherry Mobile Aqua X Review

One of the newest smartphones in the Philippine market is the Cherry Mobile Aqua X, offering a bigger screen and battery for only P3,599. And if you’re planning to buy a new and affordable phone, this might be what you need. But is this phone ideal for you? Well, let’s dive into details to find out.

Design

The Cherry Mobile Aqua X features the basic design of smartphones with rounded corners and screens and is available in colors crimson blue and imperial red. It has a camera and LED flash below, perfect for capturing photos in low light. While there is nothing special with the design of Cherry Mobile Aqua X, it is pretty decent looking for its price, ideal for starters with a smartphone.

Display

If you’re in search of bigger screen smartphones that are budget-friendly, the Cherry Mobile Aqua X might fit your needs. It has a 6.26-inch HD+ TrueView Teardrop display with IPS LCD, a good size despite its price. However, since its price is very affordable, it only has a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels (269 PPI).

Performance

As we all know, buying a low-cost phone won’t offer much performance. The Cherry Mobile Aqua X comes with an Octa-Core CPU, 3GB RAM, and an Android 9.0 Pie operating system. So its OS is too left behind since in 2021, Android 12 was released. Nonetheless, it is still a good feature for its price. But if you need a backup phone, the Cherry Mobile Aqua X will deliver. It has 32GB storage and is expandable up to 128GB via microSD.

Battery

Aside from the massive screen, the Cherry Mobile Aqua X has a 3500 mAh Li-Po battery, big enough for an entry-level smartphone. It can last around 8-10 hours on mild to average use. So if you’re looking for an everyday phone, the Cherry Mobile Aqua X will do.

Camera

On the other hand, the Cherry Mobile Aqua X doesn’t offer high megapixels but is sufficient to capture clear and vivid photos. It comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera. Thus, compared to its price, the cameras are still great and do their purpose.
