Requirements

But before you can create a CIMB GSave account, ensure you meet the following requirements to open a savings account:

  • At least 18 years old
  • A Filipino citizen
  • A non-US person
  • With a valid government-issued ID
  • A Fully Verified GCash user

How to Create CIMB GSave Account

If you’re qualified to open a CIMB GSave account, follow the steps below:

For Fully Verified GCash User:

  1. Log in to your GCash account.
  2. Click GSave on the dashboard.
  3. On the GSave Marketplace, select GSave by CIMB.
  4. Tap Open a Savings Account.
  5. Under the Save Money Registration page, tick the box to agree to the Terms & Conditions of CIMB Bank Philippines.
  6. Then, a confirmation message will appear once you’ve created a savings account. Also, you’ll receive an SMS notification from GCash and CIMB Bank Philippines verifying you have successfully opened a GSave account by CIMB.

If your GCash Account is not Fully Verified:

  1. Log in to your GCash account.
  2. Tap GSave on the dashboard.
  3. Choose GSave by CIMB on the GSave Marketplace.
  4. Click Open a Savings Account.
  5. Next, update your information by clicking Update Account Info.
  6. Verify your GCash account to proceed.
  7. Once your GCash account is fully verified, click GSave on the dashboard.
  8. Tick the box to agree to the Terms & Conditions of CIMB Bank Philippines on the Save Money Registration page.
  9. Tap Open a Savings Account.
  10. A confirmation message will appear, and click OK. Afterward, wait for an SMS notification from GCash and CIMB Bank Philippines confirming you have opened a GSave account by CIMB.

If your Email Address is not yet confirmed:

  1. Log in to your GCash account.
  2. Click GSave on the dashboard.
  3. Select GSave by CIMB on the GSave Marketplace.
  4. Tap Open a Savings Account.
  5. To confirm your email address, click Update Now to proceed.
  6. Input the 6-digit authentication code GCash sent to your email address.
  7. Click Submit to verify your email address, and tap OK to continue.
  8. Under the Save Money Registration page, tick the box to agree to the Terms & Conditions of CIMB Bank Philippines.
  9. Click Open a Savings Account.
  10. A confirmation message will appear, and click OK. Then, wait for an SMS notification from GCash and CIMB Bank Philippines confirming you have successfully opened a GSave account by CIMB.
